Pizza night

It’s pretty self-explanatory, but pizza night makes mealtimes fun, plus it’s a way of introducing flavours they might not usually want to try. By laying all sorts of healthy ingredients out in little snack bowls, they end up snacking loads and so then it matters less how much of their pizza creations they end up eating. When toddlers don’t seem to ever eat their meals, this is a way to guarantee some healthy snacking at least.

Ingredients

For the pizza base, you could keep some plain frozen Margherita pizzas in the freezer to cut down on prep time. Lucky for me, the boys’ dad is a baker and so he makes our dough from scratch using:
plain white flour, a cup of warm water, some yeast, a pinch of salt and sometimes a slug of olive oil.
